Jury Duty
I had jury duty this week. In an age of high tech, I am still being told check both the web site and call in to the phone number to know if I have to go back this week. You would think it would be one or the other or both *lol* I can't say I am surprised, a bit more amused than anything else. Christmas Shopping
So I am talking to my sister today, who is completely stressed out having 2 young children and no way to go Christmas Shopping, so I ask her why she is stressed out, she tells me that she has no sitter because our Mother is messed up from losing Dad so close to Christmas, that she can't be trusted to babysit, and I mentioned what about leaving the boys (my nephews) with Shawna (my wife) and I. So cherries, I have been out of Florida on business (I actually am happy that I could get out and try to stop thinking about what is going on) I should tell you that I saw another attny, which I will retain tomorrow (12/15/06) She more or less told me the same as the other attny but, I think she will be willing to fight for me a little harder. I spent the last two days with the CEO of the company GA and he has provided me a lot on insight and has given a green ligth to persue this, he will allow me to get take time off for any appts with the attny, court and to even work a new work schedule if it helps my case to be able to spend more time with my daughter. I will forever be greatful for this, and do expect to work for him for a long time, if not until I need to retire.

Just finished reading the Christopher Paolini book Eragon. They just made a movie based on this book. I feel a little bad reading it finally now that they made a movie after it, kind of feel like I’m jumping on the bandwagon but whatever, and its one I have wanted to read for a while. I reached into my change thingy in my car and pulled out the biggest handful of change I could manage and handed it to him. He took it, said "God bless" and took his place back on the corner. A couple of moments later, the people occupying the car that was 2 cars behind mine motioned the young boy over to their car. I watched in my rearview mirror as they handed him some money. I thought to myself, "could it be that those people saw me hand the boy some money and decided to do the same? Had I not handed him some change, would they have just drove right past him?" Busy Weekend
what a weekend. Hubby was home Friday night, YAY! and then on Sunday was a birthday. The party was nice. Ever have the feeling like everything's not quite real, but you also have a huge pit in your stomach like something horrible's about to happen? If anyone out there is the praying kind, please pray that I actually pass the NYPD Exam and get past all the bullshit. These city jobs keep screwing me and I just want to get past the medical, physical, and psychological. I passed it, but got fucked. And the NYPD has many other agencies (Traffic, School Safety) have also screwed me. And the Parks. Please pray for me folks. This exam is sometime in Feburary. And if luck is on my side, I should be called up soon (theres also a test in June for the same exam I want to take) this way I get called up fast.
