The News As Of Recently
so i moved home from college successfully. my shit is divided into clothes and stuff i need, and stuff that can be saved until august when i move back. my clothes are all OVER my floor. i have no room for them either. oh well. the worst part is, i need to do laundry and all the laundry baskets are holding my clothes from college :( i finally turned 19. it was like a 3 day thing too. thursday night we went to the uptown to see the new indiana jones movie which kicked ass! then friday my parents took me and my best friend rachel out to dinner at maggiano's in friendship heights. saturday, rachel, alison and precious came over and we went to the mall and steve tried to come to see me but he got lost and his car broke down in DC. i got to see him sunday :D i am lookin for a job still. not much luck. right now i am tryin to find a job, helpin around the house and tryin to have some time for me. i love summer :D

So i had a fairly bad evening. i went out to see my mother today. Picked her up and we went to Barnes and Noble because i was looking for a CD. While we are there she says "Where is the health section". So i asked and we walked over and i asked her what she was looking for. She THEN decides to tell me that my Grams was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. What a blow to the stomach! She thought i might like to get a book on it so that i know what might happen. i already knew something wasn't right. When i was with my Grams last weekend she was calling me Evelyn. i don't even know who that is. Last weekend was very hard seeing my Grams like that. She has always known who i am. It broke my heart. And now to hear this news. So i broke down earlier crying because the woman i knew as my grams is going to change and i don't know what to do.

Sad Baby News
well i got bad news on my baby news... i had to go the the dr.last week for some bleeding and found out my baby was at 6 weeks while i was 9 weeks and it had no heartbeat...so i ended up having a miscarraged.. i was very upset.. i had to go back to the dr. a few days ago and found out i'm fine and i gottas go back in 4 weeks to talk to the doc again and talk about getting preggers again... so i'm gonna try again..

When I first heard the term, "lateral racism" I was astounded that such a condition had a name and, sadly, that it existed long enough to earn that name. It's still a relatively new concept. So Annoying...grrr
I have a bad habit, one that is driving me literally crazy. I tend to get songs stuck in my head, songs I haven't heard in a very long time. Chicago, Air Supply, REO Speedwagon...that kinda thing. Around and around in my head it will spend, often for days, until it gets replaced by another song. Annoying as hell, right? I know I'm not the only one it's happened to. Whats worse, is sometimes it's just a line of a song. Just a fragment that gets replayed, like a skipping record. Over and over, and I find myself screaming in my head STOP!!! Sherlock Holmes (2009)
As I watched Guy Ritchie's latest movie, one word came to mind: "Mediocre" I didn't expect much going in, and I got what I expected. I've been a fan of Robert Downey Jr after his role in KISS KISS BANG BANG and especially loved him in IRON MAN. I was hoping to see what he would bring to the role of this classic detective. He did well, but I'm afraid the writer's dropped the ball. It seems as though they didn't let Downey be more creative with his role. Speaking of the writing, they DID do a good job in the actual storyline and kept true to the classic storylines of debunking "supernatural" with "science". And the wardrobe as well as the props and city designs were amazing. Obviously, there will be a sequel and I hope they give Robert Downey more of a chance to make the character his. Bottom line, this is a family-friendly rental. Grade: B- Sherlock Holmes on IMdB.com

Umm How I Lost It?
Well guess I will blog about this...seems a lot of yall want to know how I have lost the weight...honestly its just working out and running/ walking 3 or 4 days a week, watching what I eat, (portion control works, lol). As for the other question it has taken me 3 years to lose 153 lbs and as of today 2 years to lose 100 inches! I bet on my first football game in my whole life today. I have to very careful about making bets even friendly wagers so usually I stay away from gambling all together. Wild And Crazy Week Ahead
This week is finals week and I am hoping to do well enough to pass my class and finaly get my degree. It also happens to be my Baton Rouge week for standup, along with Lucy's on Wednesday. SO I guess you can say I have a plan for the week. Tommorrow get up, study like hell, go take care of my parents' dogs, go to Baton Rouge and do my 4 minute routine. Then I head back to Thibodaux and study some more, go home, get some sleep, then get up and study some more, take my final, sell my book, then head to Lucy's and do my routine there. It may be a crazy and time consuming next couple of days, and some may think it's crazy for me to do standup when I have a final the next day. Quick Update
I finally heard back from my surgical oncologist, who apologized and hadn't realized nobody had called me yet about my pathology results. Soooooo.... good news and bad news. The good news - my lymph node came back negative, meaning the cancer did not spread. The bad news - there was apparently a bit of tumor very close to where they were removing tissue during the mastectomy. The radiation oncologist will determine whether they feel I need radiation or not. He says it's VERY small and sometimes they radiate, sometimes they don't. I'm to go in for a followup at the Breast Care Clinic on Monday 3/23. -------------------------------- Update: Just heard back from my primary care doc, who I called this afternoon after not hearing back from my oncologist. She says the margin of resection was positive in the lower outer portion of my breast - this is what may cause them to do radiation to prevent recurrence. So when I went away with my friends anywhere they are always shocked when I don't pack deodorant or use it religiously like they do. But I'm a simple girl...I'm not fussed about smelling like a bucket of flowers. My most common scent is prolly when I just smell of soap out of the shower. I don't see the need for deodorant myself cos if I get stinky then I just go shower...DUR! Right but my friends, they don't get stinky like straight away either but it seems like they think that no smell=bad and that they have to smell of something flowery 24/7. In my own lil world, deodorant and perfume doesn't really play much of a factor. I'll prolly spray it if I remember (which is pretty much never). Surgery
I had surgery on my right eye on Tuesday. Three weeks after having surgery done to fix a complicating caused by my diabetes (which is healing nicely, but still healing from) and two week from having surgery on my left eye. I am doing well at the moment. Was a long tuesday morning but once we got into surgery the day went fast, By the time the day was done, majority of it was a blur, but I was home and safe, resting and done. I will know more on Wednesday how it all went so will be starting to recover from that and start getting ready for the next one. I like to thank all that have giving me support by messages, calling me (especially on the day of surgery), and those driving me back and forth to/from all the surgeries. Since I had this one done, I do know what it will be like in two weeks and will be more prepare for the surgery on March 29.

Remembering A Life Well Lived
Savta Hannah passed away yesterday afternoon. She was 3 months shy of becoming a centurion, she was born in Kolodenka, Ukraine. As a newlywed, her husband was taken by the Russian Army to never return to meet his son. She fled to the mountains of the Ukraine with her infant, not circumsizing him for fear of being targeted as Jews. There she stayed until it was safe to travel to Kiev. She raised her son on her own as most all of her family had perished by either the Russian Army or Hitler's Henchmen. Around 1975 she made her way to Israel where she became a nurse and helped raise her now 3 grand children. She then moved to Nigeria for a few years, then back to Israel..finally making it to the United States in 1986 where she remained, illegally until passing her Citizenship exam around 1997. She led an extrordinary life by all accounts. She is survived by her Son, daughter in law, 3 grandson's, and 7 great grandchildren. RIP Savta Hanna Feldman...a life well lived!

Well for all those wondering why am In a mood today am going to make an almost two year story into about two paragraphs. Back on this date in 2004 I was in a near fatal car wreak. I was on my way to work at a new job and went to go get coffee as I normally do. The next thing I know I was in the back of a rig on the way to Copper Hospital witch is the trauma hospital for the area. They had to transport me there in ambulance do to rain they could not fly me there witch made it even worse with the pain and my breathing. They give me about 40 xrays and head CTs. they found that I had stopped breathing 4 broken ribs clasped lung Grade 2 concussion. Nothing like 12 doctors telling you oh yes you should be dead well am not hello lol. Well after a week of being in pain and having morphine drip they let me go home and all i wanted was my kids lay up in bed for all that time and nothing to do it was hard. Cutting Back....
For economical reasons, I am cutting back here on Fubar as a VIP member, although I have been a VIP member here for more than 2-3 years (since the days as Lost Cherry). I would prefer keeping the VIP, however, with my overtime curtailed, everyone's pay increases curtailed her at work, and the organization already forced with 9 layoffs, it is probably time that I tighten my belt a bit. I've talked about it with them from time to time and they each said that no one could stop them from drinking. Coming Home Soon
I am still in the hospital but should be getting discharged sometime within the next couple of days. The doctors have told me that if I maintain the blood counts for the next few days as I have over the past few days I can go home. But, still there is no idea what is wrong with me. Just weeks of tests and all kinds of medications to give me over the past six plus weeks. I have been able to answer some of the messages that have been sent to me over the past few weeks because I found out that the hospital is a wi-fi hot spot for the nurses and doctors for their PDAs and their laptops. Dakota Sugar?
After a few days of sending and receiving hundreds of emails contemplating a roommate or house-share or new apartment situation, and after not wanting to go look at dozens of (probably dark, windowless) places I'd probably hate ("Sure, you can garden in the grassless gravel pit we call the yard!"), it occurred to me that I have another option. I can move to my parents' second home and spend the summer farming, gardening, and writing. I foresee only two potential problems with this scenario: First, it's my parents' second home, which is situated precariously close to their first home. Second, it's in Dakota Territory. So I'll probably go insane. But it'll be free insanity! And I'll have fresh vegetables! I haven't told my parents that my ultimate plan is to leave this winter and move to Thailand or someplace similarly nice and non-midwesterny. They don't know it yet, but they'll really enjoy taking care of the kitty while I'm gone! Does this seem like a good idea

Burgers And Sangria
I went to the other side of town today. I had drinks with the usual suspects at the usual place. The first 2 glasses of sangria went down quickly. Then there was the business of getting down to business and deals were made and money changed hands. And then two more Sangrias please. On the way home I realized I was starving so i stopped by Five guys burgers. My god they make good stuff. I don't even like burgers. but when it comes to them I could eat 2. My New Conclusion
Where to start? When i started on this site, i had no clue about how it worked or whether i even liked it. Those of you very close to me,knew my appointment today with the w/c doc was wrecking my nerves.Shockingly it went very well.I still don't know how to react and have been burnt so many times...I refuse to get my hopes up. He is sending me back to the surgeon that I like.He is also going to agree with him and the surgery. He said he is going to reccomend that they give me water therapy again and to put me back together. I just can't believe I heard those words out of his mouth, after what he spewed out last time we spoke. If w/c finally approve's this surgery,it will be a spinal fusion done through my abdomen and a couple other tweeks. Club Wrat Headliner Happy Hour
Something interesting happened on Friday. I came home to find a note scribbled on a scrap of paper from my son. Apparently I won something from a local rock station, 95.9 WRAT (The Rat). Here's the note I got: By the time I got home and called the number, they were gone for the weekend. I'm not sure if the happy hour is on February 4th or if that's when they need the guest list. Just back from London and I have to say I love the Soho Theatre more than ever, now it has moved downstairs to the cabaret space. Just An Update
To everyone who cares I just wanted to share a little more on this subject. Since all the surgeries I have had in the past few months I have not been on much. This is not only because of the surgeries but also due to the depression it has caused me. I have held back on sharing this but I get so many questions about it, I thought I would finally share. It is hard to go from being a hard working woman to someone who has troubles just climbing a flight of stairs or sitting up for long periods of time. We take these simple tasks for granted and I truly now realize how much in my life I have taken for granted over the years. This has all been a serious eye opener for me. There are so many other things I could mention as for what is taken for granted but I am sure you all get the picture. Being it is hard to go up and down stairs is another reason I am not on here as much as I would like to be. The fact is I do miss everyone and wish I could be on more often to show all the love and support

It was late in the evening when I finally drifted off to sleep this evening. I had been up late working remotely and lost track of the time. Disappointed
So I joined two contests today for fun held by some nice people. My friends were very supportive, I went to check my pictures earlier and saw that some other people in the contest had viewed the pics and that magically my score had dropped dramatically. Now I am quite aware these contests are frivolous, but they make me smile and they are an escape from the daily grind. So why do people have to be ugly and rate other people's photos low. Like being the sexiest girl on the LC is so important that you have to be nasty to other people? I just thought it would be fun and now they've taken the enjoyment out of it by degrading others. Well ladies and gentlemen I have learned my lesson and the great thing for you is you will no longer be subjected to reposts of mine requesting you support me in my attempts at a little fun.
